High-performance sports cars seldom function best on gasoline available to regular consumers.

Saving Money on Gas

Even after you buy your car, don’t drive if you can walk or bike instead. This advice applies with any car you buy, regardless of its power supply or fuel/mileage economy rating.

Carpool whenever possible. Share a ride to that distant concert or sports event with friends. (It would be nice if they would buy the gas, since you’re providing the car.)

Combine errands. When you can, combine business with pleasure, too. If you would like to check out the new seasonal clothes at the mall and you have library books due, and the library is between your home and the mall, make one trip. If you want to make a bank deposit and your bank is on the way to your job, stop by the bank on your way to or from work.

Remember that the faster you drive, the more gas you consume.
